After a disastrous winter, spring time was not very promising. We started looking at Galicia seemed the only place you could have some water but there were not good news coming from Rabiso, Morocco looked to be the alternative but at least there was no water: It has not snowed over 4000m. It seemed that we weren´t gon a paddle, but it came April, raining every day and our luk changed.
Upper Veral, Subordán, Eska, Izas canyon... during April and May we had non stop paddling. The rains encouraged the growing kayak community in the western Pyrenees, meeting many groups who repeated over and over those rivers in their quest to improve, waiting to navegate the creeks in the valleys of the Ara and Cinca.
Later began the thaw with the basins of Ara and Cinqueta that where ready to descend, Bujaruelo, Ordiso, Cinqueta, Cauterete and some crazy ideas that remains in standby ...
This spring I was able to paddle with my compadres Txomin, Asier, Xabi, Gorka ... and Eneko, new comer from south america, with Josemari, Lander etc, and the Catalans, Gerd Aniol and Aleix
This being a very good season on a personal level where I'm enjoying and learning from those around me, in addition to the new look for races that require different navigation guided by Eric, Gerd and Mikel monsters of navegating the eddyline.
Here you have some photos midseason still waiting for the water doesn´t runs out.
